We do this on a perfect sunny, Spring-y day. Mind you, that’s not all we do, least you think we are all play…
But watching her do her antics makes my day brighter. I asked her one day why we have to go outside and with a matter-of-fact expression, she said,
“Mama, I want to say hello to the peoples!”
“Peoples” = the neighbors who are either walking their dogs, driving by or just going about their daily exercise.
This photos were taken last Friday after we sent Charlize to school. The weather was beautiful and how can I say no to that face? She was quite proud to show me that now she knows how to jump rope, albeit the other way around (the rope starts in front of her going backward).
It’s amazing how my little sunshine has grown…
Every now and then the thought of her going to school in Fall and me all alone at home makes me sad. Although, I have to be honest, there are days when I hope she is in school. I’m afraid I am not doing her learning any justice. I can feel she is SO ready for school but now the question is, am I?
These days I catch myself quitely watching her as she plays or sings to herself while she “works” or makes a mess with her watercolors/paints. I can’t help but think that come August, she won’t be here to ask me for help on something or silently stand beside me to catch my attention so she can say “I love you!” or just so she can sit on my lap while I’m at the computer.
With this in mind, I am finding myself less irritated that she’s making a mess instead I make the mess with her and we clean up after.
Needless to say, I haven’t been scrapping much and this blog is a bit neglected. It used to bug me big time but now it’s ok, as I’ve been saying and Charlize knows this line… “It’s not the end of the world.”
Have a happy weekend everyone!
